Call for applications – Mobility grant to join evaluation session of the MOI framework for social impact
The project MOI! Museums of Impact will award 7 museum professionals with a mobility grant of € 1000 to support their participation in a self-evaluation exercise in Riga, Latvia, from 23-25 November 2022. Applications are welcome until 28 October 2022.
The 7 grant holders will join a self-evaluation exercise carried out by the Latvian War Museum over two days in November. The participants will join the session as outside observers to follow the process and gain an intimate understanding of what the framework is and how it works in a real-life situation. The mobility exercise allows participants to dive deeper into the framework, participate in discussions and enlarge their competence in developing museums towards impact. The participants will also have the opportunity to get to know the Latvian War Museum as well as to meet and exchange with colleagues.
By inviting outside observers to the self-evaluation exercise in Riga, the MOI project wishes to increase understanding and knowledge of the framework, which will help museums to evaluate and improve their impact on society and better meet the demands of a changing society. The framework that will be tested was recently published on NEMO’s website.

The grant holders are expected to participate onsite and be present during the evaluation, as well as provide a short report about their experiences afterwards.
The opportunity is open to museum professionals based in Europe and the selection is based on their motivation to participate and ability to actively use the framework in own institutions or disseminate information about it. NEMO members are given priority, but a membership is not a pre-condition for a positive selection.
